It is a true honor to have a library named after me in my hometown of @LongBeachCity.

The Billie Jean King Main Library opened to the public 6 years ago, on September 21, 2019. It was a day I will never forget.

Libraries are a place where everyone belongs.

I adored tennis, of course, but I also played basketball and softball.

My undefeated softball team won the All-City Junior Girls Championship in Long Beach, California.

I played shortstop and was the leadoff batter.
